Pollution / Contaminación

Have you ever felt unjustly attacked?  It’s a form of pollution.  What do you do with that?  A friend, let’s call him John, told me of a conversation with a woman at work.  The topic

was work related, but she is struggling with some personal issues and carried her frustrations into the situation. She not only attacked what John had done or not done, but she attacked him as a person.  John is an excellent worker with a heart for serving others

I asked him what he felt the moment he was attacked.  Imagine what you would have felt.  I went a step further, “What would you have liked to have felt?”  Among other things, John would have liked a sense of peace.  Then I asked what he thinks Jesus thinks of him.  He reiterated some things I know to be true, that he is creative, persevering and patient.  Plus, he’s a son of the Living God!  I continued, “how does that affect your conversation with the person who attacked you?”  John recognized that he could have peace in spite of the attack and he allowed Living Water, Jesus, to clean the pollution from his tank.

Contaminación

¿Has sentido injustamente atacado alguna vez?  Es una especie de contaminación.  ¿Qué haces?  Un amigo, llamémosle Juan, me contó de una conversación con una mujer en el trabajo, relacionado con el trabajo. Pero ella está luchando con algunos problemas personales y echó sus frustraciones sobre Juan.  No sólo atacó lo que había hecho o no hecho, sino que le atacó también como persona.  Actualmente, Juan es un obrero excelente con un corazón para servir a los demás.

Le pregunté a Juan qué sentía el momento que fue atacado.  Imaginas lo que tú hubieras sentido.  Seguí un paso más, “¿Qué te hubiera gustado sentir?”  Entre otras cosas, Juan quiso una sensación de paz.  Entonces, le pregunté qué cree que Jesús piensa de él.  Juan reiteró algunas cosas que yo sé son verdad: que es creativo, perseverante y paciente.  ¡Además, es hijo del Dios viviente!  Continué: “¿Qué tiene que ver esto con tus sentimientos de la conversación con la persona que te atacó?”  Juan reconoció que él podría tener paz a pesar del ataque.  Juan permitió que el agua vivo, Jesús, sacara la contaminación de su tanque.
