A foundational principle of life coaching is that of believing in the person receiving coaching. For the Christian coach, the underlying theology is that God is present in each believer in the person of the Holy Spirit, that God is leading us to fully live out His purposes in our lives. Our example is Jesus Himself. He names Simon “Peter” (rock)
knowing that Peter was going to deny him. Jesus had a vision of who Peter would become. At the same time, Jesus accepted Peter where he was. In John 21 Jesus asks if Peter really loves Him. Peter could not quite get to confess the unconditional love Jesus was asking for, but Jesus accepted that. And Jesus accepts me, where I am, and each person with whom we have a coaching relationship as well. So we ask questions to draw out what the Holy Spirit is already doing.

Un principio fundamental del life coaching es el de creer en la persona que recibe coaching.
